i never expected to be studying glory holes for an...
apparently it’s a type of mining, but we reckon our lecturer just threw it in to make sure we were actually awake. someone took a photo of it as she explained to us, “you wouldn’t want a glory hole in the middle of a town, that’s for sure.. it would cause havoc!”

literally, it’s getting light right now. after the amazing meal we just went with the flow (even though we all planned to have a quiet, early night.. oops) and had an incredible time at propaganda, with great music and great people. can’t wait to see my family tomorrow! ♥

it's my last day of being a teenager
and i’ve spent it presenting my research in uni & studying for six hours.. and there’s still more to do! tomorrow we have a compulsory enrolment lecture, but at least that means i’ll get to bump into all the earth science crew. can’t wait for our meal & cocktails in the evening! bigbigbig ♥

i’m back from two tentacle-tastic weeks in spain - climbing mountains, cleaning pubs out of ceverza & sidra, and gorging ourselves on octopus and chorizo! luarca was a lavely fishing town in which we perfected the art of cider-pouring (you have to do it from a height into the glass to make it fizzy), swam in the river that runs through the town...
