there's this lady we vaguely know
she’s some relation of ours, but we’ve barely ever seen her - she breeds those silly little white bichon frise dogs and enters them in dog shows like crufts. every single christmas we get a card from her containing the latest photographs of her prized dogs in their silly little show-outfits and bow ties, looks of blissful empty-headedness on their fluffy faces from years of inbreeding....

lovely little haul!
a handful of my sweet gifts this year! soap & glory cosmetics, pretty pens, cath kidston make-up bag and warm socks, a cute trinket tin and a photoframe with a cupcake picture in (which my mum put together as a decoration for my room).
i also received a bit of money, a couple of gift cards, pink hiking socks, two uni course books, chocolates.. and a gorgeous yamaha acoustic guitar!...

it can't be winter!
in cardiff last week you couldn’t step out of the house without nearly freezing to death, no matter what you wore - but today when i went to town with my mum, we didn’t even need coats! the sun was all shiny and warm, and temperatures were at the kind of level we had in october. very weird indeed for the shortest day of the year!
but i’m definitely not complaining about the lack...

i haven’t been wearing my contact lenses for the last three months, and just got a new batch sent through. i put some in yesterday and accidentally wore them to bed.. so i woke up this morning thinking my eyesight had been cured magically overnight and got all excited for a minute. fail! :’)

oh, what a night~
celebrations for chelsea’s no-longer-a-teenager-crikey-where-did-time-go event were absolutely wunderbar! i’m nursing a bit of a tequila/whiskey/cocktail/cider/malibu/vodka hangover today (only spent fifteen quid - bargain), but i still managed to get the rest of my christmas shopping done and cleaned the entire house - and i possibly had the best wake-up alarm ever this morning. ♥

night of the living wardrobe
so, living in a cheap student house, you expect the occasional flaw.. finding the odd little spot of mould in the corner of my room the first time was disgusting, but after a bit of cleaning it seemed to be okay.
it’s been a few months since we moved in, and along with the winter rain has come more and more damp. i bought a dehumidifier to try to keep my room nice and dry to avoid any more...
